Little Velvet Dress

Holiday Season is upon us! Correction... Holiday PARTY season is upon us! This can mean many things, like dressing up for a night out enjoying the christmas air or swapping your favorite cookie recipe at a home party. Whatever it means to you, there is magic in the air regardless. I started my holiday party season promptly on December 1st.

Ry and I were invited to a Holiday Party at the St.Regis New York Hotel last Thursday and it did not disappoint! I ended up taking a half day at work so I can get a blowout at Shear Serenity Salon (my go-to salon) and make sure I had time to get ready before heading into the city. On Black Friday, I ended up buying a Tommy Hilfiger dress at Macy's (I needed a new black dress and why not take the chance to buy something new??). The dress was velvet, which personally I think is so fun for the holiday season. I had a pair of open toed black heels from a purchase in the summer so I paired the two together for a look I loved. I do not really wear black that much, I love adding color to my outfits, whether it is a neutral or something fun and bright. I shared photos of my outfit below! (sorry for the quality, I only had my phone and was not really on it as the night went on)

As for the venue, the St.Regis is a beautiful hotel! The party was held on the 20th floor. It was phenomenal night with delicious food, good people, and dancing!! As for the decorations, the hotel lobby had a gorgeous tree and flower arrangements everywhere.
