Far Away Friends

Whenever a new school year starts, I always think of the great friends I made over the years, whether it was in college or high school. Since graduating in 2015, it has been difficult to see these friends every week, let alone every day. As I attended Syracuse University, I met students from all over the country and am happy to say I have friends everywhere now! After graduating, all of my close friends moved to new places, some close, some far, and that made it even more difficult. They moved to Los Angeles, Boston, Buffalo, Jacksonville, Washington DC, and even New York City (this one was a little easier for me to get to). I got lucky that my home friends ended up staying in the area, but I still made a point of seeing them as much as I could.

Some people are sneaker heads, I am a water bottle head! I have no shame admitting that. No matter what cabinet you look inside within my house, there are probably some of my water bottles in it. I can't help it! They just keep getting better and better!

     Glasses have been a part of my wardrobe since I have been in third grade. I went through endless styles of glasses. So many styles that it actually pains me to look back on some of my pictures now.

             

Red, White, & Blueberry

Baking is my favorite! Especially, when it can have a theme. With the Olympics here, there is a huge hype around anything red, white, & blue. So I took the opportunity to bake a festive cake (I made this same recipe on Fourth of July).

With August upon us, I can safely say this summer is flying by! Earlier in the summer, when the heat was just starting to rise, it was the perfect night to try a restaurant on the river.
