GIFT GUIDE: Valentines Day For Guys

Valentine's Day is going to be here before we even know it! I have always enjoyed the idea of Valentine's Day. I partially blame the movie Valentine's Day. I loved (and still love) that movie. I know it's cheesy, but I enjoyed the message behind it and the feel good vibes it had. I rallied up some gifts for the guys in your life below!

Shopping for Valentines Day can be a little tricky since this is a gift that is suppose to show your "love". With this being said, I think that the idea of the gift can be anything and everything that makes you think of the guy in your life. This is an enormous range of things, so I tried gathering up some things for every sort of man out there.

L.L. Bean Sweater Fleece Pullover: This sweater is the GREATEST SWEATER. I will admit, I have it... but L.L. Bean makes this in Men AND Women so there is no harm in buying this for the guy in your life! It is perfect for any outfit and goes with pretty much everything. I highly recommend this sweater. (Maybe even sneak one for yourself also... Matching Goals!)

Patagonia Men's Better Sweater Fleece Vest: I've noticed guys are not a big fan of jackets. I don't know if I am the only one who has made this discovery but I thought this vest would be a nice middle ground for those nights you "don't need a jacket" because you "parked really close". This vest goes great with athletic wear or a button up, which makes it the perfect crossover piece for any wardrobe.

Amazon Echo: This gift is more for the guys you live with. I personally do not have a Amazon Echo, but I know tons of people who own them and they absolutely love it. I've played with it a little and I think it is so neat. It is great for anything you can think of! From setting timers when you are cooking together, to quickly adding things to your grocery list, to playing some music to set the mood. I'm sure I am not even scratching the surface of the Amazon Echo, but I recommend it from my experiences with it.

J.Crew Medium Dot Cotton Socks: It is quite simple... SOCKS! Who doesn't love socks. It is an easy gift to grab or to an easy addition to what you already have. Personally, I love a fun pair of socks on a guy. It shows character. Obviously, this is NOT the only pair out there. I just picked a pair that I thought were fun for Valentines Day.

PSU Nittany Lions New Era Sport Knit Pom Beanie: There is a sport for everyone out there. This pick came from Ry's love for college football. These beanie hats are such a quick pick right now (check out my post here on it). Another thing that is great about these hats, is the fact that every sports team sells them. Whether it is MLB, NCAA, NFL, NHL, or Soccer, it is safe to say a majority of the teams sell hats like these. I can't predict our weather for the next 6 weeks, but I would say buying it may be a safe bet with all the topsy turvy weather.

Vineyard Vines Bow Tie: Bow Ties or Ties? I fall in the Bow Ties category which inspired this next pick. Guys look great dressed up, so why not give them a little extra something that will remind them of you the next time they were one?! It is thoughtful and can be used for any event where a dress shirt needs to be broken out.

Gap Mini Gingham Shirt: This one was more inspired by the holiday itself. A man can never have too many shirts... ok, they can, but what's the harm of one more?! This shirt can be used from now until summer with its color. Might as well invest in it now!

REI Co-Op Trail Pack: Hiking is the perfect way to get some fresh air. Grabbing him a new Day Pack may inspire the two of you to get outside more, rather than spending time in the mall (Guilty!!). I love hiking and this pack is the perfect excuse to spend the whole day outside because everything from food to gear can fit in it comfortably while supporting his back.

Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Bottle: Water Bottles have come a long way over the years. Now you can keep your drinks cold for hours on end (which is great for those long hikes!!) This Hydro Flask is the perfect accessory for any guy because there are so many different choices for colors and different styles for any type of guy. Plus, they actually work!! Now there is no need to worry about your bottle sweating or being too hot. Perfect add on for the gym or vacation!

Fossil Watch: Watches are a timeless gift (get it?!?! Timeless??) But really, watches are a great gift because they can either be used everyday or they can be used every now and again for special events. Especially, if you engraved a watch. It becomes a memory that is specific to that one person and creates a grand memory.

The Ultimate Sinatra Vinyl: Who doesn't love good ol' Frank?! I would recommend this for those couples who love to cook together (and have a record player). Nothing creates a mood like Frank Sinatra playing in the background when you are cooking a meal together or sharing a glass of wine. It creates a scene that never goes out of style.

Groupon: Groupon is FULL of great deals that extend over a huge spectrum. This includes gifts and getaways. Groupon is great because it's a fixed rate for usually two or more people for some sort of night out.

Other Ideas:

There are so many other ideas out there, so take these with a grain of salt. One idea that is definitely possible is the idea of planning a weekend getaway for yourself and your guy. Nothing is better than getting away from reality for a weekend and the only thing you need to worry about is enjoying the time together. I would definitely check out AirBnB for an experience that immerses you in where ever you go.

Can't swing going away for a weekend? Try to find something local! Whether it is renting bikes or renting a car for the day, it is a quick escape from reality.

Simple and easy? Pictures or anything sentimental! It is super cheesy, but it is honestly what comes from the heart that matters at the end of the day.

What do you guys have in stock for Valentines Day??
