Just Keep Running!

Being fit is something that is very important to me. This means I am constantly working to be in the best shape I can be in. Personally, dieting was never really for me. I was never a fan of changing my diet drastically for my appearance. Instead, changing my exercise regime and my choices in meals became a lot more important. About a year ago, I really committed myself to running. (Trust me, before that I "ran", and that meant I would tell people I ran but in reality I failed miserably) My best friend, who ran cross country in college, would run withe me and give me tips to improve my technique and it really worked!
               




A few months ago, a light bulb went off telling me I need to start working towards something new. That is when I came across the "Rock N Rock Half Marathon", and in my crazy state I signed up for it! (& I may have convinced some others to do so as well... Sorry!) Immediately after signing up, I ran to Pinterest to find a training guide (for Beginners) to follow and prepare myself properly rather than thinking I can train myself.

I will be honestly and say that my training has not gone the best. Life has gotten in the way. There were two weeks where I was sick, and then I was always traveling on the weekends, which made it difficult to run long runs. There is no excuse now, it is time for the final crunch! Time to run every day (or almost every day) and try to get all my long runs in! I am really excited for the Half Marathon and it will be a real milestone for me! My Only goal from here on? Finish the race while running the whole thing.
