What is this weather?? I think today's post has a VERY accurate title. Within the last week, I have gone from wearing my winter parka to a tank top!!! I do not think I am a fan of all of this since we barely got any snow, but one HUGE positive is trying out outfits I thought I would never wear when it's January!
This funky weather has me wearing skirts left and right and I am loving the wool skirts right now. It is perfect for winter (well, kinda winter) and adds much more style than a pair of jeans. I am wearing an old J.Crew Wool skirt (Couldn't find a link, but a similar fit skirt is here) in the pictures. Back in December, I purchased a mock turtleneck from Banana Republic and have been wearing it every chance I get. (Currently searching high and low for similar finds to link) Honestly, I can't believe I bought the top back in December!! I feel like it should be March, but its only the end of January. I guess being busy day and night has its perks. It really makes the days long, but very enjoyable since I am constantly active with some sort of project.
I haven't styled many tops with my skirts recently, since whenever I pick a skirt out I tend to lean towards same button up. (I can't help it, you cannot beat a white oxford) When I got this mock turtleneck, it seemed to go well with everything that I owned. An added bonus is the fact that it is one of the COMFIEST shirts I own. I decided to try it out with a skirt I grabbed from J.Crew earlier in the year and I absolutely love the look! It
As for my bag?! I got it a looooong time ago. It was given to me by a relative and I had to keep it around! It is a Dooney & Burke Top Handle bag (Similar one here). I only have 2, maybe 3 go to bags from over the years and this is definitely one of them. Once September rolls around, I try to bring it out whenever and wherever (or until someone tells me to stop using it).
Here's to hoping this weather turns around and we get to see A LITTLE snow before Spring hits. Isn't that the beauty of living in a location where they go through ALL the seasons??
